Victories over Toronto & Windsor

Sept 18, 2017

This weekend the boys travelled Friday night to St. George and suffered a hard loss for their first away game. The team then returned home and played against the Toronto Predators at their mutual site game in Tilbury and defeated them with a score of 9-1.

During the Tilbury game Petr Panacek had 2 goals and 6 points, while David Vostarek, Elvar Olafsson and Nicholas Lang also had multi- point games. The Kings will be playing multiple “home” games at the Tilbury arena with the next date being October 14 against North York Renegades.

Sunday’s home game in Kingsville was against another new local team the Windsor Aces. The Kings sealed the win on home ice with a score of 8-5. Sundays Player of the Game was local 19-year-old Zachary Dillen.

The Kings would like to thank their Game Day sponsors; Cindys Home and Garden Center, Brians Sports, Vernons, Barb Manary REMAX,  and Erie Dental. Kingsville will be playing Sunday September 24 at the Kingsville Arena for a 3PM puck drop. This weekend we will be honouring all Minor Hockey Players and Coaches and families who willingly give up their spare time for the LOVE of the game!

In the meantime, you can join your Kingsville Kings as they will be attending Andrew Banars' Community Event "Walking with Friends" tonight, Sept. 18th at Lakeside Park. The walk will be starting at 7pm in the lower bowl of the park!
