(KINGSVILLE, ON) –The Kingsville Kings'  closest rival, the London Lakers, gave a heartbreaking loss to the Kings in shootout fashion. The 6-5 thriller went in favour of the Lakers this time around after a shootout.

It was an even game right through the 60 minutes, after a hot start, the Kings fell behind in the 2nd period. However, another rally late in the 2nd resulted in a 4-4 tie. The third was another wash forcing the game to OT.

Kingsville put forth a great team effort in the game. Jakub Mercir had two goals in the match while Chase Standford played well in goal making 31 saves.

Also finding the back of the net included: Vlcek, Naida and Garcia.

Next up is a road match on Jan 21st to the former Maple Leaf Gardens to play the Toronto Predators.
