The Kingsville Kings second season is well underway with already two games under their belt. The team opened this past weekend with two games; first on the road in London and then at home hosting the Northumberland Stars.

The opening game of the year was a 6-5 OT loss playing the London Lakers on the road Saturday.

At home Sunday, the Kings bounced back to pick up their first win of the season 9-1 over the Stars. Kingsville peppered the Stars goaltender with Kasek (2), Culot, Simmons, Gharibyar, Cheslock, Vostarek, Kusior and Naida each finding the back of the net.

Justin Lalonde made 21 saves to pick up the victory in goal.

The Kings will be looking for revenge on the road in London next Saturday, before returning home on Sunday to host the Niagara Whalers. The Whalers are predicted to be a powerhouse team in the South and will be a good challenge for the Kings. Puck drop is 3:00pm on Sunday.
