Finalize Roster

The Kingsville Kings have finalized its camp roster which will open up August 27th at the Kingsville Arena complex with 34 Kings Prospects competing to land on the final roster which will be completed Sunday August 30th.

"We have worked hard building a competitive group that should have some success on the ice and in the community" stated Associate head coach Brandon Contratto. He went onto say "We look forward to also having a lot of free agents out to camp to try and earn one of the remaining roster spots"

The Kings exhibition season will begin when they host the Brantford Steelfighters at the Kingsville Arena Complex Friday September 4th

The Kings home opener will be Friday September 11th at 8 PM7:30 Warm Up. The Kings will host a home opener tailgate starting at 5 PM in the Kingsville Arena Parking lot. If fans purchase a $10 game ticket they receive a tailgate Cheeseburger/hotdog, chips and a drink free of charge. Tailgate is also free of charge for all season ticket holders. 

The Kings are also proud to announce the addition of forward Ludwig Niederbach and defensman Danil Burdov who both were signed to cards last week. Niederbach was most recently skating with HC Pardubice in the Czech extra league; where many former and future NHL players play. "Ludwig is a dominating player; but more importantly he is a leader on and off the ice; we expect him to have a very successful season" stated head coach Gary Astalos. Danil Burdov has also been training with professional teams in the Czech Republic all summer. "I worked with Burdy this past summer in Europe and his commitment to developing is second to none; I expect him to log a lot of minutes this year; especially on the special teams" state coach Gary. Both players skated for the GMHL finalist Seguin Huskies last season.
