Kings Return from Break With Win

Jan 9, 2017

(KINGSVILLE, ON) – Marek Malinsky scored two goals in the Kingsville Kings 2017 debut against the London Lakers. The Kings won the match 5-2 to get off on the right foot heading into the second half of the season. With the win, the Kings remain in second place with a 24-6-3 record.

Also scoring in the match were Tomek, Hylena, Garcia.

Wes Werner had a 22 save performance to capture the win.

It was a solid team effort to only give up 24 shots in the match. London is one of the highest scoring teams in the league so this strong play speaks volumes to the systems the Kings have put in place and the execution of them.

The Kings are back at it again next weekend facing the Lakers again. The game takes place at home on January 15th with a 3:00pm puck drop.
